Walk with me
Step by step,
the closer we get
The treasure in which we seek,
just beneath our feet
Take a peek
Tell me
What do you see?
Cashmere, also known simply as cashmere wool, is a fiber derived from cashmere goats, pashmina goats, and select other goat breeds. This luxurious material has a rich history spanning centuries, used in the creation of yarns, textiles, and garments. Its name "cashmere" is an anglicized version of "Kashmir," a nod to the famous Kashmir shawl that captured Europe's fascination in the 19th century. This prized fiber consists of two types of hair: the soft undercoat and the coarser guard hairs. The ultra-soft undercoat is reserved for creating exquisite textiles, while the sturdier guard hairs find purpose in brushes and various non-apparel items. Cashmere's unique hygroscopic nature allows it to absorb moisture from the air, providing natural comfort. This quality helps regulate body temperature by absorbing and releasing moisture according to the surrounding environment, ensuring comfort in both warm and cool climates.
